Too much financial content online is written to sell something — a product, a service, an appointment. We kept running into the same problem: the clearest explanations of how planning, investing, taxes, and estate decisions actually work were buried inside sales pitches, or missing entirely.
Ironwood Financial exists to separate the two. We write about how these decisions work in general terms, so you can reason through your own situation — and know what to ask if you decide to bring in a licensed advisor, CPA, or attorney. We named the site after a tree whose wood is famously dense and slow-growing: the kind of thing you build a house frame from, not a shelf.
How this site works
Each guide covers one area — financial planning, investing, tax, estate, or family wealth — in plain language, with an eye toward how the pieces fit together rather than treating each as its own silo. None of it is personalized to your situation, and none of it is for sale.
